About Us
The Lutheran Church was first established at Jindera around 1867 following the arrival of German families from South Australia. The value of a Christian education was important to these pioneers, and the now St John's Lutheran Primary School was established shortly afterwards in 1868.
St John’s Lutheran School has been a lifelong undertaking of the Jindera Lutheran Church and, with its more recent development and self-sufficiency, has become an outreach arm of the church.
The present Bethlehem church building has been located in the centre of Jindera for over 50 years and is a friendly congregation, with a history of a strong community focus.
The church is popular for weddings, baptisms and funerals and can offer the well-equipped adjoining hall.
